FAQ
RemoteDSP remote tuning questions answered.
Prep starts with a laptop running your DSP software, a measurement mic (UMIK-1, UMM-6, Dayton IMM-6, etc.), and a stable power source. We screen share, guide mic placement, and handle EQ, crossovers, limiters, and presets while you listen. Below are the questions we field most often.
How do I prepare before the session?
Confirm software access, update firmware, and install TeamViewer or AnyDesk. Stage your mic at ear height, make sure you have shore power or a battery tender connected, and gather reference tracks. Our remote session overview includes a downloadable checklist.
What happens during the tuning call?
We connect via screen share, capture measurement sweeps, and walk through EQ, time alignment, and limiter setup in real time. You can move between seats or zones while we A/B changes. Sessions typically run 60–90 minutes.
Do you provide files afterwards?
Yes—every session includes exported DSP presets, screenshots, and a recap email outlining gain structure, crossover targets, and limiter thresholds. You also get a 30-day tweak window for follow-up adjustments.
Can installers partner with RemoteDSP?
Absolutely. We schedule joint sessions, document repeatable presets, and train staff on measurement capture. If you run multiple locations or brands, we tailor the templates to each platform. Start by emailing info@remotedsp.com.
What gear do you support?
We tune Helix, ARC, AudioControl, JL, Rockford, Stinger, Mosconi, and OEM-branded DSPs—plus home processors from Trinnov, Anthem, and miniDSP. See specific examples on our motorcycle, automotive, marine, and studio pages.
